Moving from binary gender (Male/Female) and sexuality (Heterosexual Male/Female) allows freedom and respect. Part of a therapist's code of ethics is to engage in cultural competency, which includes having knowledge of gender and sexual diversities. As an Ally, I'm so honored to receive training at Waterloo Counseling Center, a beacon for the community for almost 30 years.
