Strategies for Conscious Change is a wellness agency that addresses emotional well-being via psychotherapy and consultation.

Nina A. Perales is a licensed clinical social worker in California, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Nevada and Texas. Upon completion of consent forms and the first intake session you become a client in service with SFC CHANGE. Until then, there is no form of therapeutic services are provided.

The content on this website is not an alternative to therapy nor does to purport to take the place of therapeutic services. 

All federal and state policies around licensing and patient rights apply to therapeutic services.

No Surprise Act billing notice

You have the right to understand the estimated cost of services for therapy.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. therapy sessions will cost $165 per session paid at the time of service.

  • you and i will work together to plan out an estimated expectation for prognosis and recommended session cadence such as weekly, biweekly or monthly.

  • we have two primary charges: individual therapy sessions and administrative hours when we are doing work on your behalf. you will receive prior notification when either of these services is scheduled and performed, otherwise you have a right to cancel the service.

  • you can ask for estimates prior to your service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. we do not carry balances so this should likely not happen.

You have a right to request the your health care records from the SFC CHANGE. It is best practice to have a discussion about what information is released. Oftentimes people find summaries, treatment plans, interventions, skills taught, and resources are most useful for care.
